just yesterday (in online book reading session) we looked at Page 19 (under Physics section) of the "Science in Sanskrit" book which mentions the following

सूर्यस्य विविधवर्णाः पवनेन विघट्टिताः कराः साभ्रे ।
 वियति धनुःसंस्थाना ये दृश्यन्ते तदिन्द्रधनुः ।। ३५.०१ ।।

- बृहत्संहिता (अध्यायः ३५)

ॐ हिरण्यगर्भाय नमः AUM hiraNyagarbhaaya namaH

today (or tomorrow) is 'ratha saptami'

the detailed image and clips clearly brings out WOW - also reinforces - how/why it is termed 'one with golden core' by ancient rishis

should we all - not only on planet earth but ALL in the solar system - who 'depend' on sun be 'सूर्यवंशी' ? let's radiate our best rays for giving light and warmth to others around us :-)

giver

giving is nature - nature is full of givers - be it trees, be it the river, the sun, the moon ... the list goes on

every pure soul is a giver - and every giver will get purer

a flower is a giver of fragrance - without expectation or discrimination - yet it is not aware at times - and it does not have to put in any effort - it just has to be itself to give - all those who come in the vicinity get the positive experience - whether they are aware of it or not, whether they like it or not, whether they appreciate it or not ..

a mother is a giver, a friend is a giver, a teacher is a giver ...

imagine if we all start giving - the world will certainly be a better place :-)

in worldly ways, giving might be exhausting - and giving 'costs' but when we go beyond - giving is uplifting - giving is actually 'rewarding' - there is blissful joy in giving ... isn't it said - what goes around comes around?

Yes, I know - it has been a long break - One year has passed by & I haven't published anything here.

I intend to be regular (again) - let's see for how long I can meet my own expectations :)

I am back into running as well (which might make it easier to come up with inspirational as well as run-update posts)

I will again run the Chicago Marathon on 12 Oct 2014 - this time it is to support Samskrita Bharati!

Saw this nice picture 'Mother is beyond Infinity!' at https://thimble.webmaker.org/p/l7i5/ (thanks to #teachtheweb) - so nicely applies to a Sanskrit 'verse'

 या देवी सर्व भूतेषु मातृ रूपेण संस्थिता नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः || 

Transliteration (in Roman Script): yA devi sarva bhuteshu matru rupeN sansthita namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namah

Meaning: The divinity that is present in every being in the form of 'mother', I bow to her, I bow to her, I bow to her again & again.
