unsolicited help

I still remember .. nearby grocery store where I had interesting encounter about helping .. yet, at same place yesterday, l attempted to "help" (that too, unsolicited) .. but luckily it turned out pleasant 😊

It was crowded and I was waiting behind a stranger lady .. who happened to quickly grab few KitKat candies from a shelf near the checkout counter .. and couldn't resist asking her - how much were they for (my guess was, they were each 1.99) .. she said just $1 each .. still, I tried to "sell" her big box of 50 candies at less than $7 (the unsold Halloween stock marked down for "clearance") 😁

She was little skeptical .. (why would a stranger fellow shopper want to help save her money) .. so, I further insisted - "should I go grab it for you?" .. somehow, she could not disagree and I ran out of my queue to not only get the box but also take picture of the details .. (Thankfully, I was back before it was her turn to put her items on the conveyor belt - so noone was hopefully annoyed with my extra zealous "help")

I did make her spend more than double of what she was initially planning to .. but she got 50 candies in place of 3 (and I just got little joy and this blog post!) 😁
